Margaretrose joined the team in 2017, bringing with her a wealth of experience in youth and community work. She is married with two children.
After returning from New York, where she lived for five years, Margaretrose completed a degree in Community Youth Work and after qualifying, joined Challenge for Youth and got involved in outdoor education.
I feel very passionate about young people getting an experience of the outdoors. It develops their sense of wonder and awe, as well as helping them to challenge themselves in ways they might not often have the opportunity to.
When Challenge for Youth closed some years ago, Margaretrose began freelancing with a number of other organisations and thankfully the De La Salle Pastoral Centre is one of those and we are delighted to benefit from her commitment to and enthusiasm for young people.
It’s great to be working with young people in a faith context. My faith has been so important in my own life and I love having the opportunity to help young people to reconnect with their faith and to know they are loved and valued by God. I’m enjoying working with such an enthusiastic team and a wide range of schools.
